KEEP IT MOVING

Keep It moving

“You’ll come to realize, that everything is not worth your time. Sometimes you have to keep it moving. You can’t let everything stress your mind. You have to keep it moving.”

Keep It moving

In life we really have to learn to “keep it moving.” Every negative thought should not be entertained, every conflict does not have to lead to an argument, and every challenge does not have to overwhelm us. We have to learn to stop entertaining the enemy’s schemes and fiery darts.

“Above all, take on the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” -Ephesians 6:16

Do not give Satan the time of day. We must not give him what he wants. Our spiritual senses have to be exercised to recognize when something is a work of Satan.

“But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” -Hebrews 5:14

Satan is very good at what he does and as a result he can have us entrapped in his schemes and spiritual seductions. Frustration, temptations, miscommunication, challenges, heartaches, bereavement…Satan wants all those things to destroy you. He wants you take your focus off of God and put it on the problem. He wants you to put your feelings before your faith. He wants you to become consumed by everything that is wrong and never realize what is right. He wants you to react rather than reflect and pray. We have to learn to “keep it moving.” Everything in this life is not worth our time or our souls. We do not have to let EVERYTHING stress our minds. WE HAVE A CHOICE. Everything does not have to be entertained. Some arguments are not worth having, some thoughts aren’t worth entertaining, some relationships aren’t worth indulging in and some places aren’t worth going to. Satan hates nothing more than a child of God who is aware of him and his schemes… better yet he hates a child of God who chooses to trust in God rather than him. Sometimes we really have to tell Satan “Get behind me! I’m going to keep it moving. My God is faithful. You are not…so get behind me Satan!”

“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.” -1 Peter 5: 8-9

In my 23 years of life, God has taught me that there’s an art to overcoming challenges and developing peace of mind. It’s learning how to develop a keen awareness of Satan and his schemes. It’s learning how to study Satan and study ourselves. It’s recognizes our weaknesses and our vulnerabilities and learning how to relinquish and surrender those things to Christ, the cross, and God our Heavenly Father.

“Be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”-Philippians 4:6-7

Our biggest problems come because we walk around every day carrying loads of problems, temptations, challenges, and pains that we were never meant to carry. GIVE IT TO GOD. Stop dragging around an unneeded load! The bible tells us to “be strong in the Lord” not ourselves (Ephesians 6:10). He is our strength. He is our fortress. He is our comfort. Satan is so sneaky…so subtle that he’ll have us thinking we can handle things on our own. He’ll have us thinking that we are stronger than what we really are and that we have the right to take charge and control of our lives. That we should dictate how we react, how we feel, and what we indulge in. THERE COULD NEVER BE MORE OF A BIGGER LIE FROM THE ENEMY THAN THAT. God and His word should be the SUPREME ruler of our lives not ourselves.

“Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” -2 Corinthians 10:5

You and I know that every time we take things into our own hands things always become a mess!  Our victory comes when we allow God to be the ruler and controller of our hearts and of our lives. We must learn to give it to God and “keep it moving in the Lord!” My friend our God is beyond faithful! He loves every one of children; that includes you! Do not listen to the enemy. God cares about what you’re going through and what you’re dealing with even when nobody else does.

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” -Hebrews 4:15-16

Every single hour and minute of every day God is always available to you. You just have to be willing to make yourself available to Him. We must surrender and allow His Spirit, presence, and love to overwhelm us…to totally and fully CONSUME us!

“Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” -Galations5:25

When we are filled with God and His Spirit Satan has no choice but to back down. He knows he is NO match to God. Satan only has as much control as we give Him. So the next time the enemy tries to oppress you…run to God! Let God deal with him. Do not try to do it on your own…because I’m telling you now, you will lose. Without God we are nothing. We are nothing but measly pieces of dust walking around waiting to be trampled by the Devil. We must learn to run into the protective arms of the Lord. He is our defense. He is our strong tower. He is our refuge. Run to Him!

“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer. My God is my rock in who I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise and I am saved from my enemies.” –Psalms 18:2-3

I’m going to be fully honest with you. This blog was totally not planned. But the Holy Spirit was pressing heavily on my heart to write this and to share this. I truly believe there is someone out there who is meant to read this and that God is using me as a vessel to encourage someone’s heart in this moment. This past week, month, year… has been tough for so many! So many people are hurting, so many people are lost, so many people are crying out for help. My heart grieves for every single person out there who is dealing with the oppressions of the enemy. Life is hard. It really is…but with God we can have the peace and strength to get through this life. I want to encourage you that in God there is hope! Whether you’re dealing with the loss of a loved one, a decline in your health, financial issues, relationship problems, or personal insecurities…I want to remind you that our God is faithful and powerful! He can defeat whatever stronghold the enemy is trying to oppress you with. In this very moment I want you to relinquish and totally surrender whatever it is you’re dealing with to the Lord. Give it to Him and “keep it moving!” Keep moving through this life knowing that you have a God who loves you and has already gone before you. As long as you stay with Him you will not lose. You will win. The enemy will be crushed and God will be glorified! Oh what joy to know we have a God who will always and forever defeat our enemy Satan! Do not be downcast my friend…God’s got you! Stay encouraged and always remember… “Keep it Moving!”

“Therefore since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and Perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” –Hebrews 12:1-2
