Our biggest problem in life was solved the moment Jesus got on the cross and died for our sins. For every faithful baptized believer, we have no reason to worry.
“Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.”
-Romans 8:1-2
Every “problem” we encounter here on earth, is a delusion from the enemy in an attempt to cause us to forget what Jesus has already done on the cross. When we look at the bigger picture of things, if we know salvation and eternity is ours…we truly do not have any “real” problems. We should not fear or worry when we are faced with sickness, financial difficulties, or even death! This world is not our home. Heaven is our home and we are on our way there. So why are we tripping? Why are we fretting? Why are we stressing? When Jesus is the blessing. He has already solved our biggest problem…
The reason we have such a hard time believing that our biggest problem has already been solved is because we have yet to fully put on the mind of Christ. (1 Cor 2:16) We are still thinking “temporary” and not “eternal.”
“Since then you have been raised with Christ set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”
-Colossians 3:1-2
We must train our heart and our mind to think ETERNITY and NOT temporal. We have something to look forward to beyond this world and pass the grave! How amazing is that?
The devil wants us to focus on the temporal, the earthly, and the fleshly. The devil wants us to see problem after problem and become overwhelmed. And what do we do? We look at the picture that the devil has painted with our internal mode set on automatic. We take the iris of our minds and we zoom in 1000x lens. Then we focus, and snap! We know its not a good picture but yet we keep it and make it our screen saver!! Everyday we wake up, it pops up; the troubles and the things of this world. We know that its taking up too much storage on our hard drive but we refuse to press delete. Really?
Satan is the master of deceptive persuasion; he attacks the mindset of eternity through our negligence of daily prayer and bible study that gives us a constant communing and awareness of God who is ETERNITY. Satan is the DECEIVER. As Christians, when we are thinking with an eternal mindset we realize that there is no such thing as real problems here on earth, only situations that further prepare us for our eternal dwelling.
For we know, that ALL things work together for the good for those who love God and are called for his purpose.
–Romans 8:28
Now take a pic of that and make it your screen saver!
So, my friends, rest in the thought of knowing that eternity with God is already yours.
Whatever is bothering you today,
right now,
in this very moment,
LET IT GO!
It’s not really an issue.
If you are God’s child, and have obeyed the gospel of Christ through baptism, and are living faithfully you have nothing to worry about. Tell the devil to get thee behind! Because Jesus has already swallowed death up in victory! O death where is thy sting? Where is thy sting? There is no more sting! Hallelujah! So the next time, the devil tempts you to become overwhelmed with all these so-called “problems”, simply lovingly remind yourself that you don’t really have any problems, just moments of preparation for your eternal dwelling.
“When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true; “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
